This is me, Philip Cavalier-Lumley tucking into a cake at Costa Coffee.

On Tuesday 20th September I joined the team at BCB Radio for their weekly lunchtime show, Our Top Ten between 12-1pm where members of a local group talk about their organisation and select some of their favourite music for listeners to hear.

It was great session cramming as much information about our new group in Bradford as well as playing eight of my top ten mainly due to fact that I couldn’t stop talking, hehehehe

Here is my top ten….

Robert Miles – Children

Michael Jackson – Smooth Criminal

Lionel Richie – Dancin’ on the ceiling

Happy Mondays – Step on

Pussycat Dolls – Don’t Cha

Shanice – I love your smile

Def leppard  – Hysteria

Adamski Featuring Seal – Killer

David Guetta featuring Sia – Titanium

Flo Rida – Good Feeling

Finally, it was lovely to meet someone who had heard the show on the radio that week and came along to our next meeting.

First official Bradford Speaks meeting

On Wednesday 5th October Bradford Speaks held its first official meeting at the Midland Hotel in Bradford.

The event was well attended by new people.

Our table topics section of the meeting whereby people speak on a topics for just a minute or two was thoroughly entertaining with some wonderful stories from our guests.

It was a very encouraging moment for Bradford Speaks who hope to attract many more people to the club.

A Great Launch Night

2016-09-07-18-35-05

Our launch night on 7th September got off to a great start with a wonder group of people all practically strangers who plucked up the courage to all take part in table topics, an off-the-cuff section of a Toastmasters meeting.  Toastmasters’ Area Director, Michael Bottomley attended the launch and gave a thorough introduction to toastmasters.   A massive thanks to the Midland Hotel for hosting us.
